Soluna Secures Conditional Base Load Position for 166 MW Texas Data Center
Soluna Holdings, Inc., a developer of green data centers for intensive computing applications, has announced two milestones at its Project Kati campus in Willacy County, Texas. The company has completed the final 14 MW at Project Kati 1, a 83 MW site, and has secured a conditional base load position for all 166 MW at the Kati campus, including the planned Kati 2 AI expansion.
The conditional classification by ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) is part of its Batch Zero interconnection process. This means that Soluna's Project Kati campus will be considered a reliable source of electricity for the grid.
Soluna's green data centers are designed to provide power-efficient computing solutions, including AI and Bitcoin mining applications. The company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable energy practices in the industry.
