Sono Group's Shift to Bitcoin Leaves Company with Financial Woes
The Sono Group has undergone significant changes in its business model over the past few years. What was once a company focused on solar energy technology is now centered around Bitcoin.
In the first half of this year, the company spent $5 million on buying Bitcoin, which resulted in them acquiring 68.49 BTC. Including options trading, their total BTC holdings reached 69.78 by June 30th.
The value of these holdings was approximately $4.118 million at that time. However, a closer look at the company's cash position reveals a stark contrast.
By June 30th, the Sono Group had only $166,000 in cash on hand, while their Bitcoin holdings were valued at over $4 million.
