Sony-Linked Exchange Lists Cardano Tokens in Major Japan Win
Cardano has made significant inroads into the Japanese market as its native cryptocurrency ADA and privacy-focused token NIGHT get listed on S.BLOX, a cryptocurrency exchange affiliated with Sony Group. The listing marks a major milestone for Cardano, especially for Midnight's token, which is now available on a domestic crypto-asset exchange operator in Japan.
The listing process was rigorous, according to Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, who noted that normally it takes a very long time and few tokens are listed. S.BLOX highlighted this significance by pointing out that NIGHT's listing is its first entry into Japan.
To celebrate the launch, S.BLOX announced a campaign where users can receive up to 14,000 yen worth of $NIGHT. Cardano trading is also available on the exchange starting August 24, with users able to receive up to 10,000 yen worth of ADA to celebrate the listing milestone.
Hoskinson hailed the recent listing, especially for Midnight, calling it a monumental milestone. The listing remains significant as no privacy coins or infrastructure trading as coins were listed on the exchange until Midnight.
