SoundHound AI Stock Soars 26% on Strong Earnings and Revenue Beat
SoundHound AI (SOUN) stock surged 26% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following its strongest quarterly results since going public. The company posted a Q2 2026 revenue of $61.9 million, up 45% year-over-year and well above the analyst consensus of around $52.4 million.
The adjusted loss per share was $0.02, beating Wall Street's estimate of a loss of $0.12 to $0.13 per share. The company ended the quarter with $203 million in cash and no debt, alleviating concerns about its balance sheet.
CEO Keyvan Mohajer pointed out that Q2 revenue is now ten times what it was when SoundHound went public in Q2 2022, citing accelerating demand for voice and agentic AI as a key driver. The company raised the lower end of its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $230 million to $260 million, with the midpoint coming in above Wall Street's consensus.
The quarter was supported by broad enterprise adoption of the company’s OASYS agentic AI platform, including multiple seven-figure deals in healthcare and automotive. The company also closed an eight-figure multi-year channel partnership spanning more than 20 countries across Latin America.
