South Korean Bank KB Kookmin Partners with J.P. Morgan for Blockchain Cross-Border Payments
KB Kookmin Bank is set to become the first South Korean bank to offer blockchain cross-border payments for trade finance, using J.P. Morgan's Kinexys network.
The service will be available in August 2026 and will initially support U.S. dollar transfers across 10 countries, including South Korea, the USA, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, Thailand, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, and South Africa.
KB Kookmin announced its partnership with J.P. Morgan on July 26, 2026, after signing an agreement to focus on faster remittances and foreign exchange services for businesses involved in trade.
