South Korean Police Crack Down on Fake Flare Network XRP Scam

South Korean authorities have arrested three individuals for allegedly running a fake Flare Network XRP staking scheme. The alleged scammers impersonated the legitimate Flare Network and FXRP projects, using their similarity to lure victims with promises of high returns.

The fake site was modeled after the real Flare Network, complete with a convincing website that mimicked its design. This deception allowed the scammers to steal 3.4 million XRP tokens worth approximately $8.55 million from 71 unsuspecting investors.

The police in Seoul have been working to track down the suspects and recover stolen funds. They've already identified a fourth individual, who is believed to be involved in the scam and is currently being pursued via an Interpol red notice.
