South Korea's Blockchain Push Sends XRP Price Soaring to $1.38
XRP's price has been steadily increasing, reaching $1.38 in the past 24 hours. This growth comes as South Korea prepares to put its stock trading on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), with a concrete timetable for doing so.
The Financial Services Commission of South Korea has published a roadmap outlining the move of stocks, bonds, and funds onto distributed ledger infrastructure. The first phase is set to start in February 2027, with tokenized stocks, bonds, and funds being introduced initially.
This development has significant implications for XRP's price forecast. Analysts are predicting that if XRP can break through the $1.72 resistance band, it could reach a target of $2.00-$2.10. However, there are concerns that if the support line at $1.32 is broken, the token could slide towards its macro floor of $0.99-$1.00.
The South Korean roadmap also highlights the growing trend of countries moving their stock trading onto blockchain rails. This has led to a surge in interest in early-stage infrastructure projects, with some traders turning their attention to Layer 3 (L3) networks such as LiquidChain.
