Southeast Asia Blockchain Funding Rebounds with Bigger Checks for Fewer Companies
Southeast Asia's blockchain sector has seen a significant rebound in equity funding this year, with $680 million raised so far in 2026. This represents more than double the $319 million raised across all of 2025.
The catch is that investors are writing bigger checks to fewer companies, with only 25 funding rounds completed this year compared to 46 last year.
According to data from Tracxn, three deals account for a significant portion of this year's capital: CRYPTO raised $400 million in a Series D round, Edena Capital closed $100 million at the same stage, and Startale pulled in $50 million in a Series A. Together, those three rounds represent more than 81% of the total raised.
The crypto financial services segment has been the primary magnet for investment, attracting $498 million across 19 rounds. This represents a 48.4% year-over-year increase and is the clearest growth pocket in the region's blockchain landscape.
