SP Global Leads Record-Breaking Investment in Kaiko
S&P Global has deepened its commitment to digital assets and on-chain markets by extending Kaiko's Series B funding round to $110 million. This strategic investment was made through S&P Global Ventures, a division that invests in promising fintech companies.
The partnership between S&P Global and Kaiko dates back to 2026, when the two companies collaborated on tokenizing the iBoxx U.S. Treasuries Index on the blockchain. They later combined their crypto index capabilities into a single suite called S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices. This co-branded product is designed for global digital asset markets and is available 24/7.
Kaiko's CEO, Ambre Soubiran, described the investment as 'a powerful endorsement of Kaiko's mission' to provide trusted data infrastructure for tokenized markets. Cathy Clay, chief executive of S&P Dow Jones Indices, said that Kaiko's data is 'foundational transparency for the digital-asset ecosystem', enabling complex trading and on-chain activity to be turned into reliable decision-ready intelligence.
