SpaceX Rockets Past Tesla as Eighth-Largest Corporate Bitcoin Holder
SpaceX, Elon Musk's private space exploration company, is set to become one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin among public companies. According to an IPO filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), SpaceX holds 18,712 Bitcoin, acquired for around $661 million. This positions the company as the eighth-largest holder of BTC globally.
The value of SpaceX's Bitcoin holdings is approximately $1.45 billion at current market prices, which is significantly higher than Tesla's treasury position of 11,509 Bitcoin. Interestingly, earlier estimates from Arkham and BitcoinTreasuries undersold SpaceX's actual Bitcoin position by more than double.
SpaceX reported strong financial growth, with revenue climbing to $18.7 billion in 2025, up from approximately $14 billion in 2024. The company is targeting a valuation of between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion for its public debut in June 2026.
