Sparrow Wallet Releases Update After AI-Driven Code Review
Sparrow Wallet, a Bitcoin wallet focused on privacy and security, has released an update to its software following an AI-assisted code review. The review was prompted by the recent release of unrestricted Chinese AI models that can search large codebases for potential exploits.
Craig Raw, Sparrow's developer, said most of the fixes in version 2.5.4 came from this review. He found no signs of exploitation and recommended updating, but noted that users with air-gapped setups may be reluctant to make changes.
The AI-assisted code review was prompted by a July attack on Coldcard's seed-generation code, which allowed an attacker to reconstruct private keys without accessing the physical devices.
