Spot DEX Trading Volume Hits Two-Year Low Amid Broader Market Woes

Share

Spot decentralized exchanges (DEXs) have seen their trading volume plummet to a two-year low, sparking concerns about dwindling liquidity in the crypto market.

The latest reading from Blockworks' Spot DEX dashboard shows that trading volume has fallen to approximately $130.77 billion, a 26% decline from June and its lowest level since September 2024.

This steep drop in activity suggests firm bearish control over the market and indicates a significant outflow of capital across the 35 blockchains where DEX activity is currently tracked.

The stablecoin market, which has been contributing substantially to overall spot DEX volume, has also seen its supply shrink by $2.23 billion this month despite the broader crypto market cap climbing by roughly $192 billion (11%) over the same period.
