St. Louis Men Charged with Plotting Multi-Billion Dollar Bitcoin Heist Kidnapping
Three men from St. Louis have been charged with conspiring to kidnap and coerce victims in connection with an alleged multi-billion dollar Bitcoin heist.
Sedric Louis, John Davis, and Martel Williams were accused of plotting to break into a residence and force the occupants to transfer cryptocurrency related to the heist.
The trio allegedly traveled to Connecticut on August 21-24, renting cars and preparing firearms and communication equipment, but ultimately abandoned their plans due to concerns about security cameras.
A separate group from Florida was later involved in a similar plot, which resulted in six arrests on August 25 following the theft of a Lamborghini Urus.
