Stablecoin Adoption Hinges on Invisible Use Cases

Share

WeFi CEO Maksym Sakharov believes that stablecoins will become mainstream when users stop thinking about cryptocurrency altogether. He predicts that in five years, the strongest use cases for crypto will be ordinary financial behaviors such as business-to-business settlements and cross-border payments.

Sakharov argues that many companies are treating stablecoin adoption as a supply problem, rather than a distribution and usability issue. To succeed, he believes that companies need to focus on making stablecoins easier to receive, spend, convert, account for, and integrate into existing financial processes.

The CEO also emphasizes the importance of business-to-business settlement as an underestimated use case for stablecoins. He suggests that this vertical has strong repeat demand and can be valuable in terms of predictability, control, and repeatability.
