Stablecoin Card Spending Set to Soar to $50 Billion by 2028
Global stablecoin card spending is expected to reach $50 billion annually by 2028, according to RedotPay.
This projection represents a quadrupling of current annual spending. In July alone, stablecoin card spending surpassed $1 billion, setting a monthly record.
The growth in adoption is driven by the use of stablecoins in cross-border payments, treasury operations, cryptocurrency settlements, and as stores of value in volatile economies.
RedotPay's co-founder and head of partnerships Jonathan Chan attributes the accelerated adoption to a confluence of factors, including real payment pain, easy stablecoin access, strong fiat off-ramps, and regulatory clarity.
