Stablecoin Card Spending Surges to Record $1 Billion in July
The stablecoin card segment has reached a significant milestone, with total spending crossing the $1 billion mark in July for the first time. According to data, this represents a 16% increase from June and a 200% surge compared to the same month last year.
Jupiter Global, a Solana-based platform, is at the center of this growth. Its USDC-backed Visa debit card has become one of the most visible bridges between on-chain stablecoin balances and real-world spending, with over 10 million individual purchases driving the milestone.
The Jupiter Card's onboarding incentives were aggressive, offering a 2% baseline cashback rate with potential to hit 4% through referrals. This gave early adopters a tangible reason to load up their cards, which are accepted at over 150 million merchants globally across more than 60 countries.
