Stablecoin Card Spending to Reach $50B Annually by 2028

Share

Stablecoin card spending has reached new heights, with cumulative volumes exceeding $10.9 billion. According to RedotPay, this growth is expected to continue, with annual spending projected to reach $50 billion by 2028.

In July 2026, stablecoin card spending hit a record high of $1.04 billion, surpassing the previous year's total of $339 million in July 2025. RedotPay attributed this growth to increased adoption, clearer regulation, and expanding use cases for cross-border payments.

RedotPay's head of partnerships and co-founder, Jonathan Chan, stated that the company is seeing demand from customers who use stablecoins for everyday financial needs rather than cryptocurrency trading. The majority of users are not crypto traders but individuals seeking better financial management options.
