Stablecoin Market Skyrockets to $309B Amid Soaring Demand
The stablecoin market has reached a new milestone, surpassing $309 billion in total market capitalization. This represents a significant increase of around 50% since the end of 2024, when the market was valued at approximately $206 billion.
Tether's USDT continues to dominate the market, holding roughly 60% of the market share with an estimated $183 billion in circulating supply. Circle's USDC comes in second, accounting for around 24-25% of the market value with a worth of approximately $74-75 billion.
The two tokens combined account for about 85% of all stablecoin value in existence, indicating their prominent role in the crypto ecosystem. The supply dynamics are also noteworthy, as minting and redemption activity by issuers largely influence the market cap.
