Stablecoin Payments Gain Traction in Creator Economy
The creator economy has a pressing payment problem that becomes apparent when platforms go global.
A brand can hire a creator in one country, approve work in another, and then face days of banking cutoffs, FX spreads, correspondent fees, and payout systems not designed for small international transactions.
Stablecoin payments are increasingly seen as a practical solution to this problem, with the demand coming from workers, not just crypto companies.
Stripe published research in August covering over 2,300 independent workers across 20 countries, finding that 57% would accept stablecoin payouts if platforms offered them.
