Stablecoin Supply Jumps $987.1 Million Amid Weakening DEX Activity
Stablecoin supply increased by $987.1 million in the week of Aug. 24 to Aug. 30, 2026, according to a recent market report.
The growth in stablecoin supply came as decentralized exchange (DEX) activity weakened, with DEX spot volume falling 4.94% and perpetuals volume dropping 12.74% from the previous week.
Protocol revenue also saw an increase of 3.59%, with USD AI experiencing a significant jump in weekly revenue growth at 9,788,157%.
Institutional and whale activity remained active during this period, with Strategy buying 4,603 BTC worth $358.56 million and Bitmine purchasing 53,501 ETH valued at $130.86 million.
