Stake Blocks Irish Users After Gambling Regulator Intervention

Share

Crypto casino giant Stake has stopped serving customers in Ireland following intervention from the country's newly established gambling regulator, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI).

The regulator reportedly contacted Stake during the week of September 7, prompting the company to block Irish users. Public records show that Stake never obtained an Irish license or published a notice of application.

Stake's terms suggest customers should be offered a way to recover remaining balances, but no Ireland-specific process has been announced.
