Stand With Crypto Backs 32 Lawmakers Ahead of Midterm Elections

Share

Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group backed by American crypto exchange Coinbase, has announced its support for 32 U.S. lawmakers in this year's midterm elections.

The bipartisan list includes prominent leaders who have pushed for cryptocurrency policy in Congress, such as House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn 'GT' Thompson.

The group also endorses well-placed Democrats like Jim Costa, who could be a contender for the chairmanship of the House Agriculture Committee if his party gains majority after the November elections.

'The midterms come at a key inflection point for crypto policy in Washington, D.C.,' said Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto. 'As candidates from both parties try to reach voters outside traditional constituencies, they overlook crypto voters at their own peril.'
