Standard Chartered Doubts Its Own $100,000 Bitcoin Prediction
Bitcoin's price surge has Standard Chartered revising its prediction for the end of 2026. Initially, the bank had set a target of $100,000, but now it seems too conservative.
Geoff Kendrick, a strategist at Standard Chartered, admitted that his previous forecast might be 'too low.' With Bitcoin currently trading at $76,844, and ETF inflows breaking records, there's a risk that the price could even reach its historical high of $126,000.
Cory Klippsten, founder of Swan Bitcoin, has sounded an alarm regarding the 80,000-dollar barrier. He believes that if Bitcoin crosses this threshold, it will be a significant psychological win, making Standard Chartered's prediction seem 'ridiculously low.'
