Standard Chartered has expanded its cryptocurrency trading services to institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch.

The bank now allows eligible institutions to trade deliverable Bitcoin and Ether spot directly using its existing electronic trading systems, integrated with familiar foreign exchange interfaces.

This move builds on the bank's regulated digital asset custody services launched in the UAE last year and follows its earlier UK crypto trading launch.

Standard Chartered's expansion strengthens its position in regulated digital asset markets, offering flexible custody options and supporting broader blockchain and tokenization initiatives globally.
