Standard Chartered Eyes $200 Target for Chainlink, Sees 25x Potential
Standard Chartered, a leading British banking giant, has added Chainlink (LINK) to its radar, in addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum. The bank predicts that the price of LINK could reach $200 by the end of 2030, representing a potential profit of around 25 times its current price of approximately $8.
Standard Chartered argues that the tokenization boom will require reliable on-chain data, making Chainlink a critical infrastructure for both Traditional Finance (TradFi) and Decentralized Finance (DeFi). As growth in the asset tokenization market is expected to be significant, it could catalyze demand for Chainlink's services.
The bank notes that Chainlink provides an infrastructure that connects different blockchains with external data and financial systems. With its expanded capabilities beyond oracles to include interoperability, compliance, and privacy, Chainlink becomes the only end-to-end platform capable of supporting tokenized assets across both DeFi and TradFi.
Notably, Standard Chartered cites a growing list of companies and institutions using Chainlink services, including Swift, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and WisdomTree. As the use of Chainlink's services increases day by day, its potential for growth becomes more apparent.
