Standard Chartered Forecasts Chainlink Price to Reach $200 by 2030
Standard Chartered has made a bold prediction for Chainlink's (LINK) price, forecasting it to reach $200 by 2030. According to Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered, this represents a potential 25x gain from the current price of around $8.
The bank attributes this growth to the expected expansion of tokenization and DeFi (Decentralized Finance) adoption. Chainlink's fee revenue is likely to increase as more institutional customers use its services for data delivery and cross-chain asset transfers.
Chainlink currently secures over $110 billion in value, representing around 70% of oracle-dependent DeFi value globally and more than 80% on Ethereum. Standard Chartered expects this figure to rise significantly, with the market size of tokenized assets potentially reaching $4 trillion by 2030.
Kendrick also predicts that DeFi assets will grow about 37x to $2.7 trillion by 2030. This growth is expected to benefit Chainlink's fee revenue, which could increase by around 25x through 2030.
