Standard Chartered Predicts Uniswap Token to Rise 40-Fold by 2030
Standard Chartered, a leading global bank, has forecasted that the value of tokenized assets in decentralized finance (DeFi) will increase by 37 times to $2.7 trillion by the end of 2030.
This prediction was made by Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered, who also stated that Uniswap's UNI token could rise 40-fold to $100 by the end of 2030 from its current price of around $2.50.
Standard Chartered initiated coverage on Uniswap and predicted that its market value will reach $6.50 in 2026, $20 in 2027, $40 in 2028, $65 in 2029, and $100 in 2030, making it outperform both Bitcoin and Ethereum through the end of the decade.
The bank's forecast is based on its expectation that more real-world assets will move onto blockchain platforms, increasing the amount of tokenized assets active in DeFi. Kendrick said that Uniswap's infrastructure role, longevity, and brand recognition make it well-positioned to benefit from this trend.
