Standard Chartered released a report predicting that tokenized assets in decentralized finance (DeFi) will increase 37-fold by the end of 2030, reaching $2.7 trillion. This growth is expected to be driven by the increasing adoption of real-world assets, stablecoins, and crypto-native assets on-chain trading infrastructure.

The bank also initiated coverage on Uniswap (UNI), the largest decentralized exchange, and predicted that its token could rise 40-fold to $100 by the end of 2030 from about $2.50 today.

Standard Chartered's head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, said in a note that the amount of assets locked in DeFi could reach $2.7 trillion by the end of 2030, up 37 times from current levels.

The bank expects Uniswap to benefit from this growth due to its role as an all-purpose infrastructure layer for decentralized trading, citing three factors: its infrastructure role, longevity and brand recognition, and dominance in highly correlated pair trading.
