Standard Chartered Sees 40x Potential for Uniswap's UNI Token by 2030
Standard Chartered has forecast that tokenized assets on-chain will grow to $4 trillion by end-2028, up from $340 billion today. This growth is expected to be driven by an increase in decentralized finance (DeFi) activity, with the amount of assets locked in DeFi reaching $2.7 trillion by end-2030, a 37-fold increase from current levels.
According to Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered, this growth will be driven by an expansion of tokenized real-world assets and stablecoins on-chain. He estimates that the share of tokenized assets active in DeFi will rise to 30% by end-2030 from 3.5% currently.
Standard Chartered initiated coverage of Uniswap (UNI), the largest decentralized exchange, with a $100 price forecast for UNI by end-2030. The bank expects UNI to rise to $6.50 in 2026, $20 in 2027, $40 in 2028, $65 in 2029, and $100 in 2030, implying a 40-fold increase from the current price of about $2.50.
