Standard Chartered Sees Bitcoin Reaching New Heights by End of 2026
Standard Chartered has updated its Bitcoin price forecast, predicting that the cryptocurrency could retest its all-time high of $126,000 by the end of 2026. This revised target replaces an earlier prediction of $100,000 for the same year.
The upgrade reflects a 23% rally in Bitcoin over the past week, with the cryptocurrency trading at around $77,300 on August 21st. A move to $126,000 would represent a gain of more than 60% from that level.
Standard Chartered's forecast is among the more bullish institutional calls on Bitcoin for the remainder of the year. The bank has previously issued a series of price targets for the cryptocurrency, and this latest revision signals growing confidence among some traditional financial institutions in the asset's near-term trajectory.
