Standard Chartered Sees Chainlink Price Hitting $200 by 2030
Standard Chartered Bank has made a bold prediction about the future of Chainlink (LINK), forecasting that its price could reach $200 by the end of 2030. This estimate is based on the bank's assumption that Chainlink fees will increase about 25-fold by 2030, with the token broadly tracking this growth.
The bank's research notes that Chainlink currently secures over $110 billion in value and commands a significant share of oracle-dependent DeFi value worldwide. It also highlights the network's growing use across various industries, including finance, with key players such as Swift, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and S&P Global already utilizing Chainlink.
The report emphasizes that this forecast is not without risks, however. Tokenization implementation at the institutional level may be slower than expected, and pilot projects may not translate into conventional production systems, limiting service fee growth. Additionally, competition from specialist oracle providers and interoperability projects could challenge Chainlink's position in the market.
