Standard Chartered believes Ethereum's internal metrics remain strong despite its prolonged price weakness. Analyst Geoffrey Kendrick pointed out that Amazon's stock, adjusted for splits, has risen roughly 1,000-fold since its lows during the dot-com bust in 2001.

Jeff Bezos once said that while Amazon's stock was going the wrong way, everything inside the company was going the right way. Standard Chartered thinks this dynamic is playing out with Ethereum now.

The report noted that Ethereum currently hosts around 62% of tokenized real-world assets and 68% of active on-chain loans. The non-stablecoin RWA sector could grow 50 times to $2 trillion by the end of 2028, according to Kendrick.
