Standard Chartered Sees UNI Token Rising 40-Fold by 2030
Standard Chartered, a leading financial institution, has released a report predicting significant growth in decentralized finance (DeFi) by 2030. The bank forecasts that tokenized assets on-chain could reach $4 trillion by 2028 and $2.7 trillion in DeFi by 2030, a 37-fold increase from current levels.
Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered, believes Uniswap (UNI) is poised to benefit from this growth due to its role as an all-purpose infrastructure layer for decentralized trading. The bank predicts that UNI could rise 40-fold to $100 by the end of 2030.
Uniswap's dominance in highly correlated pair trading and its longevity and brand recognition are cited as supporting factors for the bank's view. Standard Chartered also notes that Uniswap's association with security may become increasingly important as traditional finance firms scale into tokenized real-world assets.
