Standard Chartered Slashes Price Targets for Solana and Ethereum
Standard Chartered has adjusted its price targets for Solana and Ethereum downward. The bank's analysts have reduced Solana's target from $310 to $135, suggesting a significant decline in market confidence. This reduction reflects a pessimistic outlook on the cryptocurrency's future performance.
Ethereum's price target has also been slashed, this time from $7,500 to $4,000. This decrease indicates a substantial reduction in growth expectations for Ethereum, potentially leading investors to reassess their strategies.
Both Solana and Ethereum are undergoing major upgrades, which could impact market performance. Solana's governance proposals may increase token scarcity, while Ethereum's upgrade, Glamsterdam, has been postponed until Q4 2026. This delay may affect its competitive edge in scalability.
