Standard Chartered Slashes XRP Price Target by 65% Amid Cryptocurrency Market Selloff
Standard Chartered has significantly reduced its year-end price target for XRP to $2.80 from $8, representing a 65% cut. This move comes after the cryptocurrency market experienced its worst downturn in nearly four years.
The bank's global head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, also lowered forecasts for other major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
XRP fell to $1.16 last month, its weakest level since November 2024, before recovering partially. The token trades approximately 59% below its July 2025 all-time high of around $3.40.
