Standard Chartered Slashes XRP Price Target by 65% Amid Cryptocurrency Market Downturn
Standard Chartered has reduced its year-end price target for XRP to $2.80, a 65% cut from its previous estimate of $8. This move comes as the bank expects additional near-term price declines across digital assets.
The revisions follow what analysts described as the sector's worst downturn in nearly four years. The token trades approximately 59% below its July 2025 all-time high of around $3.40, and has fallen to its weakest level since November 2024, at $1.16 last month.
The bank's broader cryptocurrency forecast cuts include bitcoin reduced to $100,000 from $150,000, ether to $4,000 from $7,000, and solana to $135 from $250.
