Standard Chartered Slashes XRP Price Target to $2.80, Keeps $28 2030 Forecast
Standard Chartered has reduced its XRP price target for end-2026 to $2.80, a 65% cut from the previous forecast of $8. The revision reflects a tougher environment for the token, including weaker ETF inflows and high interest rates.
The bank's Head of Digital Asset Research, Geoffrey Kendrick, set the original $8 target in April 2025. However, XRP fell by approximately 43% between January and March, dropping from $2.40 to around $1.38.
Despite this near-term downgrade, Standard Chartered maintained its long-term projection of $28 for 2030. Crypto analyst ALLINCRYPTO called the bank's unchanged 2030 forecast a significant bullish signal, emphasizing the weight of such a projection from a major international banking institution.
