Standard Chartered's $180 AAVE Call Faces Competition from Aggressive AlphaPepe
Standard Chartered has set a price target of $180 for AAVE by the end of 2026, citing the potential for DeFi growth. This prediction is based on the bank's belief that tokenized assets will become a larger part of decentralized finance, and Aave is well-positioned to benefit from this trend.
AAVE currently trades at around $126, which would require a gain of roughly 43% to reach Standard Chartered's target. This may seem ambitious, but the bank sees AAVE as a key player in the DeFi space, with its lending protocol already operating on-chain and generating fees without traditional bank control.
However, AlphaPepe is offering an earlier entry point for retail users at $0.02761 before its first exchange listing. This brings a percentage difference that is easy to see, with a 10x move from the current stage price placing ALPE near $0.2789 and a speculative move to $1 equaling roughly 36x.
AlphaPepe's utility gives buyers something to judge before the launch, with AlphaSwap Early Access checking contract risk, liquidity, and holder concentration. The product also connects activity back to ALPE, with 50% of every fee allocated to permanent token burns.
