StarkWare Presents Quantum Protection for Bitcoin Transfers
StarkWare has presented a test approach to protecting Bitcoin transfers from potential quantum computer attacks. The method involves additional encryption when transferring BTC, and it aims to protect transactions at the moment of sending.
The current protection methods for Bitcoin rely on classic public-key cryptography, but post-quantum cryptography is being developed as a precaution against future threats from quantum computers.
Risk remains theoretical, as no such computer has been created yet. However, experts like Robert Mitchnick, head of the digital assets division at BlackRock, believe that Bitcoin will continue to grow, with some predicting prices could rise to $200,000 by mid-2027.
