States Challenge Trump Tariffs as Bitcoin Markets Weigh
A coalition of 25 Democratic-led states has challenged the Trump administration's latest tariff policy in court, arguing that it exceeds legal authority.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, targets new double-digit tariffs on 60 trading partners introduced under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.
The states claim that the administration is attempting to impose another round of unlawful taxes on businesses and consumers after losing its previous case before the Supreme Court.
