Steady Bitcoin Price Amid Easing Inflation Data
Bitcoin's price held steady at $63,863 over the past 24 hours, despite inflation data showing a slight easing in prices. The core consumer price index rose only 0.2% from last month and 2.5% from a year ago, its slowest pace since March 2021.
This softer inflation data reduces pressure on Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh to raise interest rates in September, making room for potential rate cuts that could benefit Bitcoin's price.
The cryptocurrency has historically performed well in low-interest-rate environments. However, despite this positive development, Bitcoin is still down nearly 30% year-to-date and faces increased volatility due to global events such as the US-Israel attack on Iran in February.
