Stellar Developer Activity Surges 125% as Real-World Finance Focus Gains Traction
The Stellar network has seen a significant surge in developer activity, with a 125% year-over-year increase in monthly active developers. This growth marks an all-time high of 2,968 monthly active developers, surpassing Solana and placing Stellar second globally behind only Ethereum, according to Electric Capital metrics.
This increase is not just driven by curiosity but reflects the growing demand for practical financial tools on the network. Developers are using Stellar to build payment systems, remittances, and tokenized real-world assets, with a focus on emerging markets in regions such as Nigeria, India, Turkey, and Brazil.
The growth of developer activity on Stellar is supported by targeted programs from the Stellar Development Foundation, including hackathons and multiple rounds of the Stellar Community Fund. This funding has helped convert interest into sustained building activity, making the 125% rise appear more structural than a temporary spike driven by short-term incentives.
