Stellar Sets Record with Highest-Ever Stablecoin Transfer Volume
XLM, the native cryptocurrency of the Stellar network, has reached an all-time high in stablecoin volume transfers during Q2 2026. This milestone highlights the practical utility of the blockchain and its ability to facilitate cost-efficient, near-instant payment transactions.
The Stellar network is payments-centric and allows for native integration of USDC, EURC, and other stable tokens issued by Circle and others. Through anchors like MoneyGram, Franklin Templeton, and Fonbnk, fiat on- and off-ramps are enabled for cross-border disbursements, treasury flows, and tokenized money market fund transfers.
The increase in stablecoin transfer volume is attributed to enterprise adoption rather than speculative retail trading. This surge in usage shows that stablecoins are more than just a DeFi tool, fitting perfectly at the intersection of finance and technology.
XLM differentiates itself from competing platforms like Tron, Ethereum, and Solana through its first compliance tools, Soroban smart contracts, and internal DEX. The regulation of payment networks via issuer oversight is being closely watched by the Stellar Development Foundation.
