Stellar Surges as Crypto Market Sees Catch-Up Dynamic
The cryptocurrency market has seen a catch-up dynamic this week, with Stellar (XLM) gaining 22.33% to close at $0.19111, while its counterpart XRP reached a weekly gain of 40.94%. The rally has highlighted the difference in fundamental drivers between the two ecosystems, with XRP rising following Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's meeting regarding the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.
XLM, on the other hand, dominates the real-world asset tokenization sector, with the value of RWAs exceeding $3 billion, making it the world leader in tokenizing non-U.S. sovereign debt. The network's growth is also supported by a record 2,968 monthly active developers and the transition to Protocol 28 (Adapter), which will increase network throughput by 65%.
The main medium-term catalyst for XLM is its integration with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) to bring Russell 1000 securities and ETFs onto Stellar in the first half of 2027. If a breakout follows, XLM needs to secure a weekly close above the $0.217-$0.230 resistance zone to move toward the $0.26 and $0.30 targets.
