Stellar's 10 Million Account Milestone: A Shift in Network Accessibility
The Stellar network has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 10 million funded accounts. This achievement highlights the growth of the network and its accessibility to users.
According to community data, the top 4% of holders require around 1,400 XLM, while the top 2% need approximately 5,003 XLM. In contrast, a top-1% position requires a holding of 12,274 XLM and a top-0.1% wallet needs 112,541 XLM.
Independent wallet trackers also show that total accounts on the network have exceeded 10 million, with a long tail of small balances existing beneath a thinner layer of large holders. This concentration is lower than in other large-cap cryptocurrencies, making it more accessible for users to join the top percentiles.
The opposite is true at the top, where a small number of large wallets control a substantial share of circulating XLM. This coexistence of broad account growth and concentrated supply may be attributed to Stellar's focus on payments, asset issuance, and low-cost settlement rather than speculative DeFi cycles.
