Stellar's Price Plunges Ahead of DTCC Tokenization Launch

Instruments
XLM

XLM's price has been steadily declining since its peak in late August, falling below $0.20 on September 2 as momentum weakened.

The decline comes as Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) prepares to launch its tokenization service in October, which is expected to integrate with the Stellar network by the first half of 2027.

DTCC has already conducted live production transactions involving dozens of institutions and tested tokenized assets in July, giving it valuable evidence on how blockchain infrastructure can operate alongside existing market systems.

XLM's current market picture is weaker than its longer-term network outlook, with technical indicators showing limited momentum and derivatives positioning reflecting caution.
