Sterling Digital Records First Verified Bitcoin Output at Texas Site
Sterling Digital Plc has marked a significant milestone in its Bitcoin mining operations. The company, listed on the AQSE under the ticker ASIC, recorded its first verified Bitcoin output at its Texas site during a controlled live-load test.
The facility's power-generation system supplied electricity to Sterling's fleet of 420 mining servers for the first time, producing and depositing the resulting Bitcoin into Coinbase's custody account. The event marked the first instance of the company's full infrastructure operating end-to-end, converting natural gas from the WAHA pipeline in Martin County, West Texas, into electricity, computing power, and digital assets.
According to Stefan Michaelides, Sterling's chief executive, this achievement represents 'a defining operational milestone' that demonstrates the company's ability to function under live conditions. The test run has provided valuable data to fine-tune performance across its systems, with a focus on continuous Bitcoin production moving forward.
