Stocks Soar as Cryptocurrency Market Struggles with Geopolitical Risks
Global stock markets have reached new highs, but the cryptocurrency market is experiencing mixed trends. Bitcoin's price has been stuck in a pattern of weakness and recovery, struggling to regain momentum.
The global virtual asset market site CoinMarketCap reported that as of August 6th at 8:10 am, bitcoin's price was up 0.51% from the previous day at $64,600. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, was up 1.72% at $1,906.
XRP, on the other hand, was down 1.42% at $1.06. The market is attributing this trend to unresolved geopolitical risks in the Middle East and the failure of the Clarity Act to pass in the United States.
