Storj Files for Bankruptcy to Clear Legacy Liabilities
Storj Labs, the company behind the decentralized cloud storage network Storj, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The move aims to clear older liabilities without disrupting business operations.
The filing, made in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, estimates assets and liabilities between $1 million and $10 million with fewer than 50 creditors listed.
Inveniam Capital Partners, a private market data company that acquired Storj in October 2025, will continue to support the company during the restructuring process. Kaloyan Raev, Storj's director of software engineering, reassured that 'the business underneath is strong and right-sized.'
He added that legacy obligations from an earlier chapter are holding it back.
