STPT Holders Face Deadline to Swap Tokens for AWE

The AWE Network has set a deadline for holders of STPT tokens to swap them for the new token, AWE. The deadline is September 21, 2026, and any STPT tokens not swapped by then will lose their claim to AWE.

Holders who have already swapped their STPT tokens through exchanges such as Binance or Upbit are not affected by this deadline. However, those who hold STPT in self-custody or on an exchange that did not support the swap in spring 2025 need to take action.

The swap process is straightforward and can be done through the AWE Network's official portal. Holders simply deposit their STPT tokens, wait for confirmation, and then claim their AWE tokens. However, there are some nuances to consider, particularly for holders who have older versions of STPT on Base.

After September 21, 2026, any unclaimed AWE tokens will be decided by a vote of token holders. This means that even if you don't take action and swap your STPT tokens, you may still receive some AWE tokens depending on the outcome of the vote.
